I'm still here! I guess that's my greatest accomplishment, coming from a family not known for long-lived people. My checkered career has include being a librarian, a registered nurse, and both enlisted and officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, active duty and reserve. At the age of 60, I decided to re-invent myself one last time, and I went back to college, at the University of North Florida, earning degrees in Spanish and history. Then I earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Florida Studies at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. I study Spanish colonial St. Augustine during the period 1784-1821. My husband, who went to Landon (!), and I live quietly outside of Middleburg. We have a cat, Gabriela. To quote from Simon and Garfunkel, "how terribly strange to be 70."
