Own small automotive research company in Orange County California - AutoPacific. Started in January 1986. Survived 31 years in business. It's like getting paid to do your hobby. Clients are automotive OEMs and Tier One suppliers.

After DuPont, got an engineering science degree at FSU. Co-oped at Ford in Advanced Truck Engineering. Graduated. Went back to Ford. Got drafted in 1970. Vietnam in heavy artillery on the DMZ for awhile. Returned to Ford in May 1972. Got MBA from University of Michigan paid for by Ford. Went to work for FMC Corporation as a strategic planner specialist in energy (we were going to be out of oil by 1982) in 1975. Back to Ford Car Product Planning in 1977. In the throes of the Jimmy Carter recession moved to Nissan USA as head truck product planner in 1982. That's what got me to CA.
